We randomly went to Cabela's the other weekend....crazies!

This little man had a GREAT birthday. Complete with a cupcake at the end of the day.

Blake is 5!

I honestly cannot believe that my sweet little baby is five! It doesn't seem possible. It seems like just yesterday he was sleeping in my arms and now he is his own little person.

Here is a little update on our not so little boy!
- He is very into TMNT, Star Wars, LEGO's, Trucks..pretty much all boy things!
- He has really started to like golf and tennis (takes after his daddy!)
- Thanks to his jr. kindergarten class is into all things science and animals
- He will play costume and pretend ALL DAY LONG. His favorites are to play fireman, zoo animals and shooting guns
- He has an artistic side. He is constantly drawing. You can't get him to want to read books at all, but coloring, he will rock that all day long
- Has an obsession with stuffed animals. He has a trillion of them in his closet and he rotates out who he sleeps with at night. However, Brutus the dog is his favorite.
- Refuses to wear pants or long sleeves. Case in point, it was 41 degrees this morning and he rocked a t-shirt and shorts
- Is the best big brother most of the time. He will play with Brooke and encourage her. They definitely can fight and get on each other's nerves but he is really patient with her usually
- He is a baby whisperer. This kid LOVES babies. His favorites are cousin McKenna and baby Nancy. He babbles to them all day long and they are obsessed!!
- He needs "couch time" he likes time to just chill out and watch some TV. He likes the quiet.
- He is 44lbs and 3 ft 8 inches
- He would eat his weight in grapes, apples and watermelon
- His "best" friends are: Brady, Adelyn, Mason, and Maddie (Melanie's daughter)

Grandma's 80th Birthday

This past weekend we drove up (minus Louis who was in Arizona) to Green Bay to celebrate my Grandma's 80th birthday. The kids LOVE staying in hotels so no surprise that the majority of the time we spent at the pool.

This girl gives me such headaches when it comes to her wearing swimsuits. She doesn't like to wear them because Blake doesn't have a swim shirt on..... little sister problems

This little fish would snorkel all day if we let him.

After swimming for a bit we took a quick trip to a little pumpkin patch. Blake loved it, Brooke was asleep in the car (we rotated who stayed with her, she wasn't alone in the car!)

We spent the afternoon/evening at my Aunt and Uncle's house. My Aunt cooked a whole huge meal (basically a warm up for Thanksgiving!).

Grandma got practice with her first selfie!

Birthday Girl

We don't have a lot of family pictures so we made sure we got plenty in!

All of us girls (ignore Brooke's silly grin)

Goofball wanted in every picture

My Dad was not happy to see my cousins, Erik and Mitchell rocking Packer jerseys

Fall Fun

Our September has been a busy one, but really fun. Here is what we have been up to lately.

We went to Elle's 1st birthday and had some fun with the under the sea theme

We just can't get enough of McKenna. They sure do love their cousin!

Nicks pizza makes these two very happy

We went to the Crystal Lake Johnny Appleseed Fest for a bit with Wendy and Adelyn.

Apple Cider Donuts for the win

You would never know they love each other! Haha.

Mancina's Visit

Every fall Melanie (and now Adam) make the trek out to Illinois for her annual visit. Maddie and Blake are little besties so it is really fun for them to play together, and to have Brooke try and keep up.

They got into town late Thursday night so Friday morning we were up and ready to have some fun. We headed over to Richardson Farm for the kids.

Fun on the big slide!

Train Ride

Pretty soon a little boy will fill in that last spot!!

This girl can always be entertained with swings

Here is the caption for this picture "hey, we are starving and sweaty and waiting for this wagon ride to start, why do you need to take my picture?"

She was all smiles and so tired that she fell asleep on the wagon ride

Saturday morning

I rented a bounce house for the day to let the kids play and just had an open house for people to come visit and see Melanie.

He was a sweaty mess within minutes so the shirt had to come off...

Nancy was a BIG fan of the bounce house

When Blake's shirt comes off, so does Brooke's

We are just missing Katie in this IWU picture

Bouncing is hard work....

The slide was the best part!!

It was a great and relaxing weekend. It is so much fun to see them and hang out. Too bad we live so far away! Already looking forward to March when we get to cuddle with the newest addition to this crew!!

P.S. Shame on me for only getting one picture with Melanie....note to self for next time.

A Random View

Here is a random dump of photos from the last few weeks.

Last year we took Blake to the high school football game and he loved it. This year we decided to head back and bring Brooke along as well. It is surreal every time I go back to remember that I used to be a student there and now I have my own kids at the games!

Brooke getting in on the action

Happy day for this kid when Costco starts selling Halloween costumes. He picked Batman!

The kids love going to the park and riding down the slide together

I never drive the kids to school and they always ask me to, so I decided Country Donuts were the perfect way to drive them to school.

On Labor Day we hit up Three Oaks beach with my parents

It's hard to see but Blake and my Dad went out to the slide and had some fun.

At my parents house playing some soccer

Blake insisted on a family picture!
