Memorial Day Weekend

I first want to mention that Memorial Day is meant to reflect on those that gave their lives for our freedom. My friend, Jon Collins did just that and I will always be grateful.

Our weekend consisted of family, friends and a kiddie pool. My parents bought a kiddie pool for Blake and it was a success. Blake seemed to really enjoy it, although he did try and climb out several times to explore the grass.

Blake's Back

Finally, after two whole posts without pictures of Blake, the little guy is back. I took these this morning when I was getting him ready for daycare. He is getting so big, this is a 12 month outfit! He is still wearing a lot of 9 month clothes but we are starting to branch into 12 month.

Rockin the Collar (P.S. it is great that boys clothes have the collar so that it blocks the sun on his neck)

He is happy because he just had gotten fed!

Happy Anniversary Ramsayers

Two years ago Melanie and Ryan got married. There was a little bit of drama with the is it going to rain or not weather but luckily Ryan is a trooper and went out to buy rain boots for all of us girls. It actually ended up being one of the best parts of the whole wedding. You have come a long way, with the addition of Maddie into your family. We wish you many more years of happiness. Enjoy your day.

Love you!

Book Club

Melanie has a blog post up about 99 things and you are suppose to see how many on the list you have done. Well I was looking through them and realized that I have never joined a book club. I find this quite ironic because I LOVE reading books. I have been reading ever since I can remember. My parents would have to buy me 6-7 books for vacation because I went through them like water. My ideal day would be sitting outside and reading. Yep, thats right, I love it that much that I would spend an entire day doing it (that has actually happened quiet a few times). I could sit in a book store all day long because I love the smell of new books. There is just something about new books. Don't get me wrong, I have loved the convenience of the iPad for reading but nothing compares to the real deal.

Bottom Line, I think its about time I change the fact that I have never been part of a book club. So, if you are part of a book club or want to start one, let me know!

P.S. I am aware that this post contained no pictures of Blake and for that I apologize :) Have no fear I am sure they will return.

Planking

Yesterday Blake started this new thing where he gets on his toes and hands, like he is about to do a pushup. I think he believes this is how he will get around. At this rate, he might just skip crawling and start walking!

My First Official Mother's Day

My first official Mother's Day was perfect (I technically consider last Mother's Day because I was pregnant and well any Mother will tell you that counts!). Louis let me sleep in until 7am!! Then Blake gave me his card (which he signed) and my gift. He had Daddy help him pick out a Swarovski bracelet. Blake has excellent taste.

Then for lunch my parents, brother, Louis' parents and James came over to celebrate. It was such a nice and relaxing time. After everyone left we took a family walk and fed the duckies. Blake had a lot of fun and even got to rock his new shades.

7 Months

I can't believe our little peanut just keeps getting bigger and bigger! He is starting to babble a lot more and loves to say "ba-ba". He still is a drool factory and is on the verge of crawling. He is starting to giggle and laugh a lot more. We have also noticed that he recognizes when Mommy and Daddy leave and gives us the "where the heck are you going look" and watches the door for us to return.

Taking his pictures gets more challenging because he refuses to sit still. During this photo session he spit up, my camera battery died (I had to switch to my iPhone so that is why the pictures look different) and he threw a hissy fit. haha, oh the joys of a 7 month old!

Holy Cuteness

Ok, for the five of you that read this blog daily-- you are in for a treat, two posts in one day!!

Katie just sent me these pictures of Blake from Raegan's Baptism, and oh my gosh do they capture his personality perfectly!

Play Time Before Bed

Blake always seems to get this burst of energy after dinner and before bath time. I took some pictures of him and he is getting so close to crawling. He can get on his hands and knees and rock. He can also spin himself to get to any place he wants. I think the baby gates need to go up in the next week or so. In addition we have to hardcore baby proof the house. For example, you can see that the TV in his room is on a stand that is not at all baby safe!

Shopping is Exhausting

This weekend I attempted to take Blake grocery shopping solo. In addition, this was the first time he got to be out of his carseat and sitting in the shopping cart like a big boy. At first he was amazed that he could see so many new things and then he spit up twice and by that point he was too tired to keep shopping. What a cutie!

What this blog needs...

This blog probably could use some more Blake pictures :)

The other morning I tried to take a few pictures before daycare. He would much prefer to just play and drool than pose for the camera. Also, his hair is really not this red in person, I blame the bad lighting and the iPhone

The peanut and I took a walk down to the pond to see the duckies. Blake is usually always moving and excited but he was mesmorized by his surroundings and didnt know what to make of it.
