The Grinch

Back in the summer I bought tickets to see The Grinch musical downtown Chicago. I even got most of the #TodSquad to get tickets and join in our city fun.

I surprised the kids with Grinch PJ's and let them know we were going to the show

Their "Grinch" faces

Watching The Grinch movie

The kids LOVED the train ride.

We stopped by Marshall Fields (never MACY's haha!) window displays

The girls were getting tired so Daddy's to the rescue with shoulder rides
It was a long, but fun day in the city and the kids all seemed to really enjoy it. The adults might have needed more drinks though ;)

Life Lately

Brooke loves to come help me grocery shop but sometimes it is too hard to stay awake!

Uncle Sean gave Blake Windy City Bulls tickets for his birthday present and we brought Brady along for the fun.

When you randomly walk into Wal-Mart and see Santa

Melanie, Adam, Maddie and Jack were in town (Chicago- celebrating Maddie's 7th birthday) so we had to jump at the chance to see them since it had been forever.  We went to lunch in the city at Safehouse

When you ask 1st graders to take a picture....sigh.
 Reunited!!

Halloween

The kids were really into Halloween this year and couldn't wait to carve pumpkins and to trick-or-treating.

Blake carved his own pumpkin for the most part this year

Getting the guts out of the pumpkin is never fun!

Scary Halloween faces!

Each year Goddard does trunk-or-treat and all the kids go car to car and trick-or-treat. All cars have a theme and this year I did a "Donut Grow Up". The kids loved it.

Christeen was my unicorn partner in crime!

Blake's school does a parade so we got to see him walk by

These kids loved trick-or-treating and went out twice (before and after dinner). And their favorite part- it was dark out and they were trick-or-treating still. ha!

Family Pictures 2018

It had been 2 years since our last family pictures so I decided it was time to torture my children into wearing real clothes and smile for a few more family photos. I am very happy with the results!!

Thanks to our great photographer Kimberly Nelson photos for capturing these great shots!!

Blake's 7th Birthday

Our sweet little boy turned 7. It doesn't seem possible that he is 7.

Waking up to presents on his birthday

Blake is very into basketball and so we had a basketball themed party
