A Merry Malic Chrismas

This year Louis and I were really excited for Christmas because we hoped that Blake would be a little more into opening presents and enjoying the holidays. For the most part Blake was good, but he was only really interested in unwrapping a present or two then he wanted to run off.
We have so much to be thankful for this year and are so blessed to have such a loving and helpful family!

Our holiday celebration started off down in Flossmoor.

Blake riding Louis' rocking horse from when he was a little boy

Opening presents

Blake was fascinated by feeding the squirrels in the backyard peanuts

Blake's other fascination, Nike the cat. He followed him everywhere.

On Christmas Eve we went over to my parents house to celebrate. My Mom made an amazing meal with bacon wrapped filets and king crab legs....YUMMY!

Uncle Sean got Blake a sled!!

We took Blake outside for a ride. He ended up laying down and LOVED IT.

Maybe loved it a little too much! The backyard sledding put him to sleep within 10 minutes

Christmas morning! This is Blake mad that I am taking pictures and not letting him play with the camera

Great Uncle Jack and Aunt MaryLou got him Nick the Dog

Scoping out all of his presents from Santa

Playing with his new Little People car ramp. As soon as he opened it he started crying until Louis opened it and set it up.

We are still here

We are still here life has just been a little crazy in the Malic household. Last week I started a new job at Baxter. Louis and I now work for the same company again. Being able to carpool and eat lunch together is a great bonus. I am still getting used to a new job but lucky for me my new team is super nice and friendly. We also moved. We are officially Crystal Lake residents. We are slowing settling into our new home. Granted, there are still boxes everywhere and nothing has been hung on the walls but it is starting to feel like home. We are excited to spend Christmas in our new house. Blake is loving all of the extra space to run and play. The basement is his play zone.

Merry Christmas! Love, Louis, Blake and Jenny

Jingle Bell Rock

Tonight was Blake's holiday show for daycare. His class performed Jingle Bells and had to shake and dance. They have been practicing for a few weeks. The teachers said that Blake had some serious dance moves so we were curious to see what he would do come performance night. He ROCKED it!! He didn't cry, he even danced and shook his jingle bells. A few kids did cry but not our little man. Also, a big thank you to Aunt Katie for getting him the super cute sweater to wear. At the end of the show he even met Santa. Here are a few pictures of the night.

Grand Geneva Tradition

Every year we make it a point to go to the Grand Geneva to look at their annual holiday display. Each year the theme changes. This year it was Candyland. Lots of yummy and fun displays. Of course they always have a few traditional elements as well.

It is no secret that Blake is absolutely in love with my Dad. If my Dad is around the rest of us might as well not exist. He insisted on being carried by him at all times.

This was his reaction when my Dad walked away and we attempted a picture

Since we couldn't get a family picture, we decided to get a Jenny and Louis picture!
