February Fun

Blake had gotten a free ticket to a Chicago Wolves hockey game (minor league) from school and so we decided to take the kids and Brady (the biggest hockey fan we know!) to a game. Before the game we had some time so we let the kids wild at Cabela's for some free entertainment. Honestly, the kids loved it so much we probably didn't even need to go to the game.

Brady was nice enough to give Brooke his old Wolves jersey and she was in heaven and has worn it 3 times a week since! (Don't worry I ordered Blake a Wolves jersey too after our adventure so they all match)

The boys had so much fun and even got on the jumbotron!! They were so excited. Brooke loved watching Skates (the mascot) and being at her first hockey game.

Last Friday we had a snow day and school was closed. So in the afternoon we took the kids for their first real sledding experiences.

Blake LOVED it, he got to the hill ran and dove head first on the sled down the hill. He probably went down a trillion times.

Brooke liked going down but walking back up the hill wasn't nearly as fun for her so she asked to head to the park and swing instead.

Every year Goddard has a Daddy/Daughter dance. Brooke was very excited to go this year, however Louis was in California so luckily Papa stepped in to take her.

First time in a dress since her holiday show in December.... (she cried for about 20 mins before wearing it)

While Louis was away in sunny California, we headed up to Lake Lawn Resort in Wisconsin for their annual Sky Circus show. They had all these amazing kites and snow/ice sculptures. The kids really loved it.

On the frozen lake. The kids glided around like they were ice skating

January Catch Up

I keep falling behind on updating the blog on a regular basis but work is starting to calm back down a bit so hopefully that will get me posting more regularly.

January is a big birthday month in my family and so we headed to the city to celebrate my Mom and Sean's birthday.

Drinks before dinner off of Michigan Ave

Then we headed over to Gibson's Italia for dinner. OH MY GOSH, it was amazing. The views, out of this world, the food, so yummy!! We had such a great time, we are already plotting when we can return.

January also had our first sleepover for Brooke. She begged to have her friend Ruth spend the night and so we let them try it out. The girls had a blast and there were no tears!!
