Blake Baseball and Flag Football

2020 is definitely a crazy year and Blake was supposed to do baseball for the first time in the Spring. It got cancelled of course so we signed him up for fall ball on the hope that he would get to play. We also signed him up for flag football (some parents in Cary made their own team to play in LITH since Cary cancelled their season). We just prayed he would get to do something-- turns out he is doing both and crushing it. Sports have been so good for Blake from the physical exercise, the team, social interaction, discipline from coaches etc... it was great.

First day of school

The first day of school definitely wasn't what we expected when we moved but the kids are doing their best to hang in there and adapt. We turned the living room into their school room complete with desks and chairs for each of them. It hasn't been easy but the kids are getting better each day with the new routine.

August 2020

The best part of moving to Cary- the kids can spend more time with their friends and during this crazy pandemic that has been the greatest blessing.

Louis and I were able to sneak away for a date

Dude Perfect + Shark Week what could be better?

Cary Crew get together

By some miracle we got another date night in.....

The birthday boy with his new gift from the Noonans

These kids and their costumes.....

Breckenridge Colorado

Despite COVID we were determined to make our vacation happen. We packed up the car for a two day road trip to get to Colorado.

Seeing the Iowa windmills

Hotel pool for the win

We made it after two long days in the car!!

The kids got their own room complete with bunk beds. They loved it!

The house had a hot tub so the kids and Uncle Sean wasted no time getting in
Our condo's backyard was this amazing view with all these walking trails. Each morning we started our day with a hike. And thanks to Papa the kids had their walking sticks to look like pro's.

Our condo was right on the line for the gondola and there was a stop at our condo complex so we took lots of rides

Downtown Breck

My Mom ordered an oxygen machine in case anyone was feeling sick. Blake and I weren't sick we just wanted to test them out

Of course we had to find every body of water to attempt to fish and explore

Wine with a view!

Beaver damns

We rented a boat one day to see the Dillion reservoir. It was windy but the kids had a great time driving the boat.

Without fail at least one kid passes out while on a boat ride

Another morning hike

We spent a day exploring Vail. It was a super cute little town with lots of shops. The kids mostly just hung out in the river running through the town (the very cold river I might add)

We found the Breckenridge Troll!!

By far the highlight of the trip was renting ATV's. The kids were so pumped, I cant even begin to describe how much fun they had and so did the rest of us.

Brooke trying on helmets was hilarious

Both kids wanted to constantly ride with Sean (he manned the two seater) because Uncle Sean went fast hahaha

More night fishing at the secret spot

The secret fishing spot had a family of foxes that would come right up to us every night

More morning hikes

We went up to Peak 8 and took the ski lift to the top. At first Brooke didnt want to go and I convinced her to go and I am so glad I did because the views were amazing!

We attempted some family photos on our balcony

We visited a coal mine, the kids loved the tour of the mine

The other best part about Colorado- seeing moose for the first time!!
