Blake's Holiday Show

Every year Blake's school does a Holiday show. The morning of the show day (think 5am) Blake was up getting sick. So, we were lucky enough to have Grandma Malic around to watch him during the day. He insisted he was fine and wanted to go to his show with his friends. They had been practicing for a few weeks so we packed up and headed over.

At first Blake wasn't feeling it...then he saw his bestie, Brady and was all smiles!

When it came time to the actual performance he was NOT into it. He didn't really sing and I don't know if it was because he still wasn't feeling well or all the people but the kid was over it. Ha.

Luckily, Grandma got a picture at her house beforehand. The best part of the entire show was I got him to wear real pants and a real shirt. WOOHOO. Mom for the win!!!!

B&B

This post is just going to be a random photo dump of B&B from the last few weeks. Enjoy!!

That cheese face still gets me...too cute!

She is not a fan of her coat (takes after her brother!) so most days at school this is what they resort to.

This girl would wear a Minnie shirt every single day if we let her

Our Elf on the Shelf, Charlie, brought the kids gingerbread house kits

This kid is getting way too big!

One of the rare days when she wore the coat the right way

Oh look, its the Minnie shirt again....told ya!

He was proud of his fort he built

PJ day at school. He really wanted to wear his shorts but I insisted on pants to school. Side note: Blake only wears t-shirts and shorts at home. The rule is he has to wear pants outside of the house. Haha. He NEVER gets cold.

Merry Cary Parade

The first weekend in December, it was unseasonably warm (40's) so we headed to our first Christmas parade in Cary. I had no idea what to expect, but I knew that Goddard (B&B's school) walks in the parade so at the very least we could wave to them. We loaded up the wagon and bag chairs and headed over. There were lots of trucks making lots of LOUD noises (I had to cover Brooke's ears). There was a lot of candy being passed out and even horses followed by Santa closing it out. The kids were really into it after they figured out what the heck was going on. We will definitely be going back next year assuming the weather cooperates!!

Our Thanksgiving Break

The weekend before Thanksgiving we got 14 inches of snow!! Mother Nature sure is funny. We were curious to see how Brooke would react since she was too little last year to enjoy the snow. Well safe to say, she isn't a fan! It also didn't help she wouldn't put on her snowpants, mittens or boots.....

This one on the other hand, was LOVING IT.

I failed miserably to take pictures on Thanksgiving day, this was the only one I got. At least it is a cute one!

We have a little helper with the tree

The day after Thanksgiving we went up to the Grand Geneva (our annual tradition) too look at the lights (which were disappointing this year).

Brooke writing her letter to Santa

Blake putting his letter to Santa in the mailbox (later the Elves came to pick up the mail to send to the North Pole)

Look, another picture of Louis and I.

Me, my Grandma and my Mom

Throwing Sean in the mix

The kids were NOT in the picture taking mood!

James and Colleen showed up at the Grand Geneva and shockingly James and Louis were matching...... #twins

Blake was all smiles when he found Santa's sleigh

Best family group picture

On Saturday we headed over to my parents to spend more time with my Grandma and the kids insisted on hats and sunglasses, hahahaha.

On Sunday Blake and I ended our weekend with a date at the movies :)

James and Colleen's Baby Shower

This past weekend was James and Colleen's baby shower. Kathy and I hosted this one at the Turnberry Country Club. It was a fun and easy going, relaxed time which I think James and Colleen really enjoyed.

The pinterest inspired cake was the centerpiece

Our Wisconsin Dells Trip

This past weekend we took a trip up to the Wilderness Resort in the Dells. The kids had a BLAST. First stop, the game room.

This shooting gun weighed as much as him!

Just riding a motorcycle

Luggage cart rides + cheesy smiles= best time ever

Finally some water fun!!

Just doing a little relaxing at the wave pool

Playing at the indoor playground

That face is priceless

The highlight of the trip for Blake, riding the go-carts with Louis and I. His face had pure joy and excitement the entire time!!

Little miss wanted in on the driving action too!

Blake finally conquered his fear of standing near the mascots!!

It was a really fun weekend getaway and so glad the kids really enjoyed swimming and playing.
