Our May

Louis and I took the opportunity to do a day date down in Naperville. We had not been there in YEARS so it was nice to get alone time and enjoy the weather.

These two INSIST on a picture every.single.time we eat a Nicks Pizza and I secretly love it

The weather is always unpredictable and it was cold and rainy but didn't stop these kids from a wagon ride at Ellie's party

For Mother's Day we headed to the Abbey Resort for brunch. I asked for a nice picture and then a silly one. 

Somehow, Brooke is big enough to do Kindergarten preview at Woods Creek!

Random March and April Fun

These two insisted on matching sweatshirts (well more accurately Brooke wanted to match Blake). They were being very silly in the car while we waited to go inside for a birthday party

 Blake won an award for Oustanding Sportsmanship in Basketball!!

 Sean and I went with my parents to see Michael Buble (AMAZING show and oops never got a picture with my parents)

 This one wanted to do crazy hair selfies...ended up more just crazy

 Brooke started gymnastics and is loving it!

We went to Piper's house before the dance for pictures and snacks. The kids were so dang cute!!

On Easter, we headed to the Malic family to do an Easter egg hunt. The kids love this!

Spring Break 2019

For Spring Break this year we did a two night staycation downtown Chicago. The kids were super excited to take the train into the city!!

After eating lunch at the train station (and meeting Papa there for lunch) we headed straight to Navy Pier

Then back to the hotel for a quick swim before dinner

After dinner at RPM Italian, which was so yummy and the kids LOVED the mini gelato cones at the end we had to hit up the Under Armour store on Michigan Ave

The next day we headed straight for the Museum of Science of Industry. The kids LOVED it there. The coal mine and the submarine were the favorites

The kids had a great time in the city and we even had our good friends the Repta's just happened to be at the same hotel as us so Mason and Ava swam with Blake and Brooke one morning.

Brooke's 5th Birthday Weekend

Brooke had an action packed celebration weekend turning 5!!

 

First up, a Windy City Bulls games with a bunch of our friends.

Blake and his friends got to go on the court and high five the players as part of the Cary Basketball Association fundraiser

On Saturday we had Brooke's family party

 

She helped decorate for the party and make her own birthday bundt cake

 

Sunday was her class party at Jump Zone. They had a blast!!

 

On Monday (her actual birthday) we celebrated with a balloon

 

And she picked where she wanted to go for dinner, so she picked Culvers because she LOVES their burgers. (smart choice kid)

 

This little bean is 3'7" and 45 lbs

LOVES anything Blake loves (aka "boy stuff"). He is still her entire world

Still only wears her hair in a ponytail

Is a Mama's girl

Is my early riser and always goes to bed late (what is with that!!)

Is very funny and sweet

Is in swim class and about to start gymnastics (and cant wait to do basketball next year)
