Lake Tahoe- Part 1

This year we took a family vacation with my parents and brother to Lake Tahoe California. We were all very excited as none of us have ever been there before so we were anxious to get the vacation started. After a two hour delay we finally made our way to California. After spending the night at a hotel near the airport we woke up the next morning and drove towards NorthStar resort to explore.

Blake got very zen

We took the lifts up the mountain to grab some lunch

NorthStar had a bunch of shops and restaurants in its own mini-city. Very cute and nice.

We rented a cabin in Tahoe City. It was AMAZING. Here are the few pictures I took of the inside.

The view from the deck

The kids were taking in the scenary

The first morning there we got up early, found some hiking sticks and took a walk to explore. Brooke walked one mile!!

After our walk, we headed down to the beach. The beach was rocky (all smooth rocks) and the water super clear (but chilly!). The kids LOVED it.

Blake snorkeled in the water every chance he got

Back off ladies, he is all mine!

Blake got to push Daddy off the pier

Views from Sand Harbor (where my brother hiked)

Morning hike #2, towards the end Brookie needed some help

After our hike, we went on a family river rafting ride. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

At the end of 5 mile rafting experience (which the end had class 1 rapids that we got stuck in twice and the kids thought were hilarious) we grabbed some food

Getting bused back to our car
