Malics Go to Michigan

On Thursday night we packed the car up and picked up James to head to Michigan to visit Melanie, Ryan and Maddie. We didn't get there until after midnight Michigan time, and Blake wasn't that tired so it threw off his schedule pretty much all weekend.

On Friday morning Melanie let Maddie and Blake play with a sensory bin of rice. There was rice EVERYWHERE. They absolutely loved every second of it. It kept them entertained for an hour, which is an eternity in toddler time.

Maddie had lots of fun new toys for Blake to explore

After nap time, we headed over to Jungle Java to let the kids run off some energy and play. At the beginning, Blake was really into it, but then towards the end got clingy and crabby pants so we ended up leaving.

Baby picture! These kids are getting big.

This picture is my favorite because you can see how much taller Blake is than Maddie.

Before we left on Sunday, Blake and Maddie both decided to wear Maddie's coats (yes, Blake is wearing Maddie's purple coat) and run around the house. Poor Melanie was trying to gate them in... no easy task.

It was so nice to be able to see them and it stinks that we live so far away, but I am already looking forward to next time.
